CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis Combined Course (HLTAID009, 22556VIC & 22578VIC)

Course Overview

This essential course set is designed to equip individuals with critical skills in:

​

  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

  • Asthma Emergency Management

  • Anaphylaxis First Aid Response

​

It is ideal for educators, childcare professionals, support workers, and others in community-focused roles who need to respond quickly and confidently to medical emergencies in their workplace.

​

Units Delivered

Participants will receive a statement of attainment for the following units:

  • HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

  • 22556VIC – Course in the Management of Asthma Risks and Emergencies in the Workplace

  • 22578VIC – Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis

Delivery Options

  • At your workplace (group bookings welcome)

  • At our Woombye facility

  • Online theory + face-to-face assessment (minimum 60 minutes)

 

Entry Requirements 

Participants must:

  • Demonstrate literacy and numeracy skills at ACSF Level 3

  • Have physical capacity to perform practical tasks (e.g. 2 minutes of CPR on a manikin)

  • Have access to a digital device with internet for online study

Assessment Methods

  • Practical Skills Demonstrations

  • Adult & Infant CPR (with AED)

  • Asthma medication administration (with/without spacer)

  • Anaphylaxis response using autoinjector

  • First aid for allergic reactions

  • Written Documentation

  • First aid/incident report

  • Risk assessment

  • Individual management and communication plan

  • Theory Exam

  • Multiple choice & short answer questions

Certification Validity

  • HLTAID009 (CPR) – 12 months

  • 22556VIC (Asthma) – 3 years

  • 22578VIC (Anaphylaxis) – 3 years
